114 Former Wreckers To Play College Soccer This Fall
Four recent Staples soccer graduates will be playing college soccer this fall — and 1 more will be recovering from an injury.
The newest alums join 10 older grads, who continue their college careers. They also join nearly 200 alumni who have played college soccer. Over 30 have become captains.

- Frankie Bergonzi — Colgate University
- Sean Gallagher — United States Naval Academy
- Greg Gudis — Columbia University
- Brendan Lesch — University of Notre Dame
- Adam Liu — Middlebury College
- Jake Malowitz — Union College
- Michael McCarthy — Washington University in St. Louis
- Ross McGibney — Southern Connecticut State University
- Andrew McNair — Trinity College
- Russell Oost-Lievense — Hartwick College
- Alan Reiter — Davidson College
- Ben Root — Worcester Polytechnic Institute
- Steve Smith — Southern Connecticut State University
- Alex Tonsberg — Endicott College
Court Lake will sit out a year at Middlebury College, after suffering an ACL injury this spring. He was playing lacrosse during a post-grad year at the Hotchkiss School.
In addition, 2 former Staples soccer players are coaching in college:
- Ken Murphy — Connecticut College
- Mike Noonan — Clemson University
