James Hickok ’13 Earns 1st College Start — And A Win

James Hickok ’13 and new Dartmouth College head coach Chad Riley have something in common. Both earned their 1st Big Green victories tonight.

The 2-year Staples captain and All-American keeper was in the nets in his 1st college start, as Dartmouth hosted Boston College. The Eagles jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but the Big Green — helped by a red card to BC in the 84th minute — battled back. The Ivy Leaguers got the 3-2 game-winner in the 105th minute of double overtime.

Hickok faced 17 shots, and made 5 saves.

The Big Green, now 1-0-1, hosts Lafayette on Friday.
