Sean Gallagher ’11 Visits With Wreckers

Sean Gallagher ’11 — a 3rd-year midshipman at the US Naval Academy — spent nearly an hour this afternoon talking with Staples’ 13 returning varsity players.

The 3-time FCIAC and 2009 state champion soccer star — also an All-New England runner — discussed the qualities of effective leadership, the importance of integrity, and the strength of team bonds, whether on the soccer field or in the armed forces.

Gallagher answered questions from the Wreckers, often citing his own experiences at Staples and Annapolis.

“Sean is a fantastic role model,” said head coach Dan Woog. “He is passionate about everything he does, and he does it 1,000 percent. He’s a winner. We are very privileged that he continues to be so involved in our program.”
