Wreckers Volunteer At Farmers Market
Plenty of Staples soccer players take culinary classes. They know that chef Cecily Gans is involved with the Gillespie Center — Westport’s homeless shelter. The Farmers’ Market donates food, which Gans’s classes regularly help prepare.
Today, 7 Wreckers volunteered at the Farmers’ Market. They carried shoppers’ bags to the parking lot. The tips they received — several hundred dollars — will go directly to the Gillespie Center/Staples culinary project.
