Wreckers Announce 2017 Schedule
Thee Saturday home matches; several key opponents coming to Loeffler Field, and a couple of very tough stretches mark the 2017 FCIAC season for Staples.
Opening day is Friday, September 8, home against Trinity Catholic. Three days later the Wreckers are on the road, at always-difficult Danbury.
That kicks off a key week, with Fairfield Warde and Wilton completing 3 matches in 5 days. Another very difficult stretch includes back-to-back games Westhill, Stamford, Darien, Ridgefield and Fairfield Ludlowe.
The Saturday foes are Wilton (September 16) and Stamford (October 7), both home, and at Bridgeport Central on Saturday, September 23. Kickoff times are TBD.
Pre-season features 4 excellent opponents: Fairfield Prep (Tuesday, August 29, home); Joel Barlow (Thursday, August 31, away); the Wethersfield jamboree (Saturday, September 2) and Martin Luther King (Labor Day, Monday, September 4, at Randall’s Island).
