Dale Morgans ’79 Checks In
Dale Morgans was a member of Staples’ 1978 state championship team. He remembers those days — including pick-up games at Compo Beach and around town — fondly.
He’s been away from Westport for a long time. But, he writes, his daughter Samantha plays for the Grand Canyon University travel club team, and he considers her part of “another generation of soccer players coming out of the Westport system. Although she grew up in Colorado, it was under my urging that she took up the sport.”
He sends best wishes to the current Wreckers — and will try to make it to the 60th anniversary celebration in October.
