Wreckers Celebrate Senior Day

In a year of restrictions and changed traditions, it goes without saying that Senior Day was different too.

The Wreckers lost 2 end-of-the-season home matches due to opponents’ quarantines. So Senior Day was moved to Sunday, 4 days after the final match.

It was perfect.

Under beautiful blue skies, and with the temperature in the mid-70s, there was time for everyone to relax. All the underclassmen were there, supporting the 12th graders. All the parents were there too, honoring their sons — and being honored by them.

The day included brief remarks by head coach Dan Woog; flower presentations to parents by the players; gifts (travel bags and photos) to the seniors; food — and of course, plenty of photos.

Still to come: a season-ending (non-banquet) event, for all players. Due to COVID restrictions, the numbers will be limited. But it will be livestreamed. Details coming soon!
