Wreckers Announce 2021 Schedule
In one more sign that this fall will be a normal — or at least, near normal — soccer season, the FCIAC has announced full schedules for 2021.
For the first time in years, the Wreckers will play only 15 regular season matches. Trinity Catholic has closed, so there are now 16 league teams.
Staples has 7 home matches, 8 away. But those Loeffler Field contests will be great ones. Nearly every big rival and tough opponent comes to town: Ridgefield, Greenwich, Danbury, Wilton, Trumbull, Norwalk and Brien McMahon.
The Wreckers open at home against Ridgefield on Friday, September 10. The regular season ends on October 26, at Fairfield Ludlowe.
There are 2 Saturday games: September 18 (home against Greenwich) and October 9 (at Stamford). Night games will be determined by the hosts.
Tryout begin August 26. The pre-season schedule will be announced soon.
