Wreckers’ Work Day Gets Loeffler Field Ready

It was a busy weekend for the Staples boys soccer team.

On Saturday they played 3 times, at the Wethersfield Jamboree.

This morning they gathered at Matthew Jordan’s house for a video session. Then came training at Loeffler Field.

They followed that with 2 hours of work. The Wreckers painted and cleaned their new locker room (aka “the shed”), a project that tri-captain Jackson Hochhauser envisioned, developed and made a reality. They cleared weeds, moved benches and equipment, and stenciled The Hill.

It’s all in preparation for Friday’s home opener. Staples hosts Ridgefield, at 4 p.m. This will be fans’ first look at Loeffler Field, after a summer-long rehabilitation project. See you on The Hill!
