Wrecker Tryouts Begin!

Head coach Liam Witham welcomed several dozen varsity, junior varsity and freshman team hopefuls this morning at Wakeman Field, for the first of 8 tryouts. The double sessions will be spread over 4 days.

The candidates began with fitness, then did technical work.

In addition to a new head coach, the Wreckers begin 2025 with a new photographer. Junior Ryan Allen will chronicle this year’s season, game by game, here at StaplesSoccer.com.

There are 2 pre-season scrimmages: this Friday (August 22, 12:30 p.m., Wakeman) vs. Shelton, and next Tuesday (August 26, 6:30 p.m.) at Brookfield.

Opening day is Tuesday, September 2, 6:30 p.m. at New Canaan.
