Wreckers Wish Tom Henske A Speedy Recovery

Everyone knows Tom Henske is a tough competitor.

On Sunday morning, in a brutal adult league collision, the Wreckers’ goalkeeper coach suffered a fractured tibia and fibula. In typical Tom Henske fashion, he made the save.

He was operated on at Griffin Hospital in Derby yesterday. The doctors said it took longer than expected because his bones were “like concrete.”

Also in typical Tom Henske fashion, he was up several hours later — at 3 a.m. — answering the many texts and emails wishing him a quick recovery.

We predict he’ll be back on the sidelines soon — pushing James Hickok and the other keepers to the limit; watching the defense with an eagle eye, and inspiring all the Wreckers on to tremendous heights.

(Email Tom directly — 3times@optonline.net — or write him at 10 Poplar Plain Road, Westport, CT 06880.)
