16 Wreckers Honored At Staples Academic Awards Ceremony
Five players — and Staples soccer’s 2-year videographer — were honored for a variety of academic achievements at the high school awards ceremony tonight.
Graduating seniors James Hickok and Jon Denowitz were named Advanced Placement Scholars. Each earned a score of 3 or higher, on 3 or more AP tests.
Graduating senior Matt Liebergall and videographer Matt Hodes were cited as Advanced Placement Scholars with Honor, for scoring an average of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken.
Juniors Charlie Jersey and Steven Sobel were double winners. Charlie received the Columbia University Research Paper Award, for the best research paper in the grade, as well as the Connecticut Society of Women Engineers honor.
Steven was named Governor’s Scholar — one of the highest academic awards in the state — and also received the University of Pennsylvania Book Award.
Congratulations to all for these great achievements!
