Austin Sholes, Matthew Tanzer Spark Rec Hoops Dynasty
Austin Sholes and Matthew Tanzer led their Staples rec basketball team to a 2nd straight championship. Rec basketball is one of the most popular events at Staples, drawing intense interest and plenty of smack talk on social media.
Sholes and Tanzer’s team won 34-27 in the finals. That avenged a previous 2-point overtime loss that sent them into the losers’ bracket of the double elimination tournament.
Team Sholes/Tanzer’s dynasty included an 8-1 record this year. Congrats to all, including coaches Steve Tanzer and Seth Sholes.
