Car Wash: A Wrecker Success Story

Who can resist Staples soccer players asking/urging/”strongly suggesting” that drivers get their cars washed?

Very few people. From morning through late afternoon, over 60 varsity, reserve and freshman players — and many parents — washed a couple of hundred cars. (And sold plenty of baked goods).

They raised $2,755 for the program — less than $300 shy of the all-time Staples soccer record. Just as importantly, they worked together, as one team.

Money raised helps fund the upcoming maintenance project for Loeffler Field; banquet expenses for all 3 teams; the winter indoor futsal program at Bedford for all 3 teams; videography for the varsity and reserve teams, and much more.

Plus, Westport’s Audis, BMWs and Range Rovers now look much, much cleaner.

How many Staples soccer players does it take to clean a car?
