Liverpool staged a spectacular semifinal comeback tonight, scoring 4 unanswered goals to turn a 3-0 halftime deficit into an exciting win over West Bromwich. Michael Reid’s game winner came with just 1 minute to play.
The older alumni team — seeded #2 — then rode strikes by Alex Tonsberg and Andrew Puchala to a 2-1 final win over top-ranked Venezia. That squad had dispatched Paris St. Germain 8-0 in the semis.
