George Birch, AJ Green Elected JV Co-Captains
George Birch missed last year with a shoulder injury; he spent it as Staples' 1st-ever videographer.
Juniors George Birch and AJ Green have been elected co-captains of the 2009 Staples junior varsity squad.
With George’s brother Harry as 1 of the freshman team co-captains, this could be the first brother JV-freshman captain combo in Staples history. AJ adds the dimension of possibly being the 1st captain known only by his initials.

Coach Ross McGibney’s squad opens its season Tuesday (4 p.m.) at Wakeman B, versus Westhill.
