James Hickok ’13, Jake Malowitz ’12 Run NY Marathon

There were probably more than 2 Staples soccer alums who ran yesterday’s New York City Marathon.

But 2 of them met shortly after finishing.

James Hickok ’13– who starred at Dartmouth College, played in Scotland and Sweden, and now works in New York — ran a 3:45.08. Jake Malowitz — a former player at Union College, graduate of Vanderbilt University, and also now working in New York — finished in 4:21.54.

Both are former Staples captains, and FCIAC champs. James won a state championship too.

Congratulations to James, Jake — and any other Staples soccer players who ran one of the most famous 26.2-mile courses in the world.
