James Hickok ’13 Named Ivy League Rookie Of Week; Court Lake ’12 Stars For Middlebury

Dartmouth freshman goalkeeper James Hickok ’13 earned a pair of solid wins for the Big Green last week — and was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week as a result.

After allowing a pair of early goals, Hickok settled in to help Dartmouth earn its 1st win of the season, a 3-2 overtime victory against Boston College. On Sunday, Hickok recorded the team’s 2nd straight shutout and his first collegiate clean sheet in a 2-0 win over the University of Massachusetts. Hickok even had a hand on the offensive end, when his long punt was converted into an assist.

Hickok is the first Dartmouth player to earn rookie weekly honors since 2009.

Meanwhile, across the border, Court Lake ’12 assisted on the only goal, as Middlebury College shut out Connecticut College 1-0. It was an especially sweet win, as the goal was scored by Lake’s roommate.
