Meet Staples’ New Live Tweeter: Patrick Ostbye
Staples soccer’s new live tweeter has a long association with both the sport and the Wreckers.
Patrick Ostbye has lived in Westport off and on since 2007. He and his family moved to Cyprus a few years later for his father’s job, then returned.
Patrick played on Staples’ freshman team. He spent half of his sophomore year in Oslo, Norway, and half near Gothenburg, Sweden, learning the languages and cultures. (His father is Norwegian; his mother is Brazilian.)
He played last spring for the Westport Elite team. Now a senior, Patrick looks forward to keeping Staples soccer’s hundreds of followers informed, entertained and excited. (Follow us: @StaplesSoccer1).
Patrick’s favorite team is Manchester United. He went to a soccer camp there in 2014, with fellow senior Oskar Ekeberg.
Staples soccer is also pleased to announce that Jacob Weber will take over as videographer. He worked with the team during post-season last year. Jacob is talented, creative, and ready to post the much-anticipated weekly highlight reels.
