Monday’s Livestream Announcer: Tom Henske
Tom Henske returns to Staples soccer on Columbus Day.
This time though, the former college star and assistant coach won’t be on the sidelines. Henske — a goalkeeper on 3 University of Virginia national championship teams — will be on The Hill (or Wakeman Field, if rain moves the match). He’ll be a guest announcer on the livestream broadcast of Staples-Wilton (4:30 p.m.). The Wreckers will look for revenge, after a loss at Wilton on Friday.
Henske joins the WWPT-FM announcing crew. He’ll add insights gained over his 11 years as a Staples assistant, and his long career in the game. Click here for the livestream link. It’s sponsored by the 1972 state and FCIAC championship team.
