Obituary: Ed Gallant P’98
Ed Gallant — father of 1997 co-captain Ted Gallant — died November 1, after a long battle with cancer. He was 75.
An executive with Levi Strauss, he was active in the Westport Soccer Association, St. Francis of Assisi Church, and served as a volunteer EMT. Long after Ted graduated, Ed could be found on The Hill, cheering for the Wreckers.
In addition to Ted, he is survived by his wife Leslie, son Charlie, brother Charles and sister-in-law Elaine.
A service for Ed will be held Wednesday, November 7 (10 a.m., St. Francis of Assisi Church, Weston). Luncheon follows at noon, at the Fairfield County Hunt Club in Westport.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
