Register Teams Now For Preston Hirten 7-v-7 Tournament
The 9th annual Preston Hirten Memorial Tournament is set for Saturday, June 30. This one promises to be the biggest — and best — yet.
The centerpiece of the event — honoring the Staples Class of 2007 All-State player who died in 2009, during pre-season training at the University of Mary Washington — is a 7-v-7 (plus goalkeeper) tournament at the Wakeman Fields. Preston’s teammates from Staples, UMD and Beachside will be there. Current Staples players are also invited to form teams. It’s a fun, inspiring and important event, for players of all ages (and both genders).
Each team is guaranteed 3 20-minute round robin games. The top 4 teams move on to the semifinal, with the final immediately after.
