Scrimmage Report: Staples vs. Fairfield Prep
The Wreckers opened the pre-season at one of the biggest and nicest fields they’ll play on all year: Rafferty Stadium. It’s the home field of Fairfield Prep.
The Wreckers and Jesuits have a strong relationship. The match afforded the first opportunity for Staples’ coaching staff to see what they have this year. Goals came from Evan Birns (after Patricio Perez Elorza picked off an errant Prep pass), and a pair of 35-yard blasts by Josh DeDomenico and Alan Fiore. The defense was anchored by Surya Bilaji, Benny Feuer, Jack Douglas and Brendan Lynch.
