Scrimmage Report: Staples vs. Glastonbury
Glastonbury showed why they are 3-time defending state champs yesterday. After a tight 30 minutes, the Tomahawks took the game to the Wreckers, on the turf at CFC Park in Bethany.
The match marked the final pre-season tuneup for Staples, and followed the annual Wethersfield Jamboree. After opening the season with 6 goals for and 0 against, the Wreckers have gone scoreless in their last 2 outings.
The 2019 season opens Friday, versus Central. Game time is 4 pm, at Kennedy Stadium in Bridgeport.
