State Championship Banner Hung In Gym
A striking, 12-foot banner honoring the Staples boys soccer team’s 2009 state championship has been hung in the gym.
The banner — a gift to the school from LifeTouch, the official yearbook photographer — can be seen at the western end of the gym (the hallway side), next to the scoreboard. Room for the banner — featuring 10 action photos, and a team shot — was made possible by removing a hoop that had not been used since the days when Albie Loeffler coached basketball.
