Support Laura Blair; Raise Funds For STAR
Staples super-fan Laura Blair is once again working for a great cause.
On Sunday, May 4 she will take part in STAR’s 9th annual Walk, Roll & Stroll at the Ballpark at Harbor Yards in Bridgeport. STAR is an agency that serves individuals with developmental disabilities and their families throughout Mid-Fairfield County.
The Walk, Roll & Stroll event helps the organization support 11 group homes, 8 condominiums and 11 apartments, assisting 110 people with independent living. STAR provides training and job placement to nearly 250 adults.
Last year, Laura raised $6,249 for this worthy cause. The Staples High School community led the charge, providing almost half of her funds. This year’s goal is $4,500.
Each fall she is on the Hill — and wherever we travel — providing players with post-game treats, warm blankets, and moral support.
