Wrecker Record: $4,500 Car Wash!

The 2023 team set a record for its annual car wash yesterday. The 6-hour event earned $4,500. Funds will cover expenses beyond the Board of Education budget.

Car wash chair Amanda Kuster thanked all the players and their parents, who put in long hours (and baked for the bake sale). Captains’ parents Merri and Adrian Mueller, and Leah and Santi Alfageme, were there all day with Amanda.

Christ & Holy Trinity Episcopal Church was generous in providing the venue.

Next up: the delayed “opening game” on Tuesday. The varsity plays at New Canaan’s Dunning Field at 6:30 p.m. The JV are at New Canaan’s Saxe Middle School at 4 p.m., while the freshmen entertain the Rams also at 4.
