Wreckers Announce Tryouts And 2022 Schedule
Tryouts are less than a month away. The 2022 season is almost here.
It all begins Wednesday, August 24 (6 p.m.), with a Man U fitness test at Wakeman for all players in grades 10-12.
Tryouts are scheduled for Thursday through Sunday, August 25-28. Candidates in grades 10-12 report from 5-7 p.m. each day; there are also 10-noon sessions that Saturday and Sunday. All tryouts are at Wakeman.
Ninth graders try out Thursday through Sunday, August 25-28, from noon to 2 p.m. at Wakeman.
There are 3 preseason dates: August 30 at Greens Farms Academy (with reserves too); September 1 at Fairfield Prep, and the Wethersfield Jamboree on Saturday, September 3.
The 16-game regular season schedule includes several big road matches, including Ridgefield, Greenwich, Danbury, Wilton, Norwalk and Brien McMahon. The Darien match is home.
One other highlight this fall: the first FCIAC-CCC weekend, pitting teams from the state’s top 2 leagues against each other. All matches will be played at Farmington Sports Arena. Staples and Glastonbury clash at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 24.
