Wreckers Clean Up In Un-Scavenger Hunt

A dozen Staples soccer players used their creativity and brains last weekend. They swept the top 3 places in the student division of Westport’s 1st-ever Un-Scavenger Hunt.

The event — sponsored by CLASP Homes, which helps people with autism and intellectual disabilities — offered cash prizes. Teams had to decipher clues, then send photos or videos of themselves showing the answers.

Team Guiduli — juniors Bruno Guiduli, Matthew Jordan and Aidan Mermagen — snagged the $500 first prize. They were particularly clever, racing from Toquet Hall to Winslow Park and far beyond.

Lucas Carpi’s freshman team with James Corridon, Eli Rosenkrantz, Jeremy Rosenkrantz and Chase Watkins took the $300 second prize.

Earning $200 for their third place finish were freshman Santi Alfageme’s group, with Nate Fridland and Avery Muller.

In addition, the Staples boys soccer program earned $250, for registering the most teams. Congratulations to all!

PS: Staples head coach Dan Woog created all the clues. But none of the teams asked him for extra help.

Lucas Carpi’s team finished 2nd.
