Wreckers Head To Summer League Playoffs

Every Monday evening, Staples soccer players compete in a summer league.

The 8-team event, at Norwalk’s West Rocks Middle School — organized by former Norwalk High coach Chris Laughton — includes top FCIAC teams, and Greens Farms Academy.

The Wreckers — returning and hopeful varsity players — coach themselves. Captains Jack D’Amore, Nico Reyna, Noah Rossoni and Thomas Pretty lead the way.

It’s a great way to tune up for the fall season.

So far, Staples has just one loss, to Stamford. The playoffs begin next Monday.
