Wreckers Inspire WSA Players
Young Westport Soccer Association players got a treat today.
Staples varsity athletes — fresh off their 4-0 win yesterday — visited Wakeman and Long Lots fields. They chatted with youth players, helped them warm up, posed for photos — and (hopefully) inspired them to want to play Staples soccer, a decade or so from now.
Hopefully too, the WSA kids will be on The Hill at Staples’ Loeffler Field this Friday (4 p.m.) when Staples takes on Trumbull, in one of the biggest matches of the young season. Both teams are 2-0-1.
