0Wreckers Not Sharp In Newtown
Traditional pre-season rival Newtown took Staples’ measure today, at Treadwell Park.
The Wreckers’ 3rd training match was their poorest. They did not control the pace or the ball, and took in 2 1st-half goals, off defensive errors.
Staples did have some good combination play late in the game. George Kokkalis in back, and Graham Gudis and Patrick Beusse at midfield, showed strongly.
The Wreckers’ next match is Friday. They host Choate, a top prep school, at 5:15 p.m. (Wakeman turf).
