Wreckers Start Futsal Season At Y
A new soccer field has sprung up in Westport.
The YMCA has lined a small former basketball court in the woods for futsal. They’ve also organized a 9-week league, for high school players.
Staples captains Matt Engler and Chris Martenson organized a first-come, first-serve team. It’s a mix of juniors and freshmen. Today they kicked off the season, with a win over Wilton.
The field is open for free play when not in use by the league. Who says there’s nothing new — or nothing to do — in Westport?!
