Freshmen Rock Pink Socks For Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To honor it — and show support for a teammate whose mother is battling the disease — the freshman soccer team wore pink socks during Tuesday’s match.
Martha Corneck came up with the idea. Lara Willis purchased them. The entire team was all in.
The socks were worn proudly. And well.
Coach Chris O’Dell’s 9th graders came from behind, and topped a tough Greenwich team 2-1.
