Video, Photos, Memorabilia Needed For 60th Anniversary Celebration

On Saturday, October 13, Staples Soccer celebrates 60 years of unforgettable games, memories, friendship and fun.

It will be a great day (read all about it here).

And to make it even better, we need your “stuff.”

We’re making a short video. We’d love to include clips from games and season-ending highlight reels, along with still photos. Please send it along:, or Dan Woog, 301 Post Road East, Westport, CT 06880. Those are the addresses too for any questions (“My video is on 8 mm film; can you convert it?”). Of course, all material will be returned.

We’re also looking for memorabilia, to display at Dan Donovan’s party that evening. Team photos, championship rings, signed soccer balls — you name it, please bring it. Start searching now!

We look forward to seeing you this fall. And even if you can’t be there, we want your “stuff”!

This iconic shot of the 1982 state finals should be part of any Staples soccer highlight video. So should video of the Rob Stone goal that preceded it.
