Mike Carey ’01 Marries Lapde So
Mike Carey ’01 married Lapde So last Saturday (April 26), on a beautiful farm in Pennsylvania Amish country.
Mike’s former Wrecker teammates on the superb 2000 team — and longtime great friends — Zack Gross, Matt Katz, Jordan Schur and Jim Wolf were in attendance. So were Staples head coach Dan Woog, Union College head coach Jeff Guinn, and former Union players.
The ceremony included a Chinese tea ceremony, with dancing dragons. Lapde’s family is from Hong Kong.
After a honeymoon in Turkey, Mike and Lapde will return to their Westport home. Mike is a researcher for NBC Sports (working with Kyle Martino ’99), while Lapde has a private therapy practice in Westport.
