Watermelon Cup Week #2: 2 Ties, Tight Race

The most evenly contested Watermelon Cup league in history continued with several close games.

There were 2 draws — both involving Japan — and no team won both matches tonight.

USA went 1-0-1 to continue its league lead; Holland also went 1-0-1. Switzerland won its 1st match.

Highlight of the evening was Nate Argosh’s late goal, off Tom Henske’s punt, to earn USA a 2-2 draw with Japan.

USA’s 1-0 victory over Denmark might be the 1st 1-0 match in league history, too.
