0Ross McGibney ’06 Returns To College Soccer
There are now 11 former Staples soccer players — a full squad — angling for spots on college soccer teams across America.
The most recent addition is Ross McGibney ’06. After 2 years as the Wreckers’ junior varsity coach, he returns to action at Southern Connecticut State University.
In his 1st scrimmage, the former captain scored 1 goal and assisted on another against Columbia University.
Five players from the Wreckers’ 2009 state champion squad hope to join the ranks of illustrious alums: Matteo Marzoli (Fairfield), Michael McCarthy (Washington University), Drew McNair (Trinity), Alan Reiter (NC State) and Mike White (Delaware).
