Gudis/Beusse Team Wins Soccer Tennis Octathlon

The team of Graham Gudis and Patrick Beusse took the top spot in this month’s Jack Scott Octathlon of Champions. They captured the soccer tennis title at Loeffler Field, defeating Andrew Puchala and Kenji Goto in the finals.

There was a 4-way tie for most aces; Gudis, Beusse, Michael Reid and Andres Marmelo.

The win solidifies Gudis’ spot at the top of the standings, with 83 points. Goto is now 2nd (69), with Noah Schwaeber 3rd (65). The winner — to be be awarded an Athletic Shoe Factory gift certificate — will be determined in August, at the final Octo event: a scavenger hunt, organized by Dan Woog. Big points are available then.
