John Fincher And SLOBS Urge CPR Class Signups
John Fincher is a sophomore Staples soccer player. He also plays volleyball, and is an active member of SLOBs.
It’s in that latter role — with the Service League Of Boys — that Fincher is spreading the word about an important upcoming event.
There’s a CPR class (Sunday, March 30, 3-5 pm, Westport Police Department EMS classroom). It’s sponsored by Harrison’s Heart, an organization named for Harrison Malec. A junior at Staples, he was brought back from near-certain death 2 years ago, when he collapsed while running with the Saugatuck Rowing Club. His coach and a few teammates knew CPR, and saved his life.
