Kyle Martino ’99 Gets Own Fox Soccer Show

Kyle Martino ’99 has done it all in soccer.

The Gatorade National High School Player of the Year, MLS Rookie of the Year and former national team member most recently earned rave reviews for his World Cup and MLS commentary on ESPN.

He caught the eye of Fox Sports executives.  They quickly offered him a show of his own.

Kyle Martino trades his ESPN mic for Fox Soccer Channel.

The next step in Kyle’s career begins Monday, August 16 at 7 p.m.  Soccer Talk Live — a new series — debuts on Fox Soccer Channel.

The high-def show is (according to the channel) “a fast-paced, entertaining, hour-long studio show.”  Guests will include world-class athletes, musicians, actors and authors.  All will discuss “their passion for the ‘beautiful game,’ and how soccer impacts their lives.”

The show will run every Monday, from now through May.

Kyle’s 1st guest is Landon Donovan.

Soccer Talk Live viewers will also enjoy an in-depth recap of the week in international soccer.  Fans can follow the show on Twitter @soccertalklive, and “Like” it on Facebook.

Soccer Talk Live is a unique and exciting live forum for us to connect with soccer fans, bringing them high-profile guests and the most interesting and compelling stories from the sport we love so much,” says David Nathanson, general manager of Fox Soccer Channel.

“With his experience as a player and as an on-air personality, Kyle Martino is the perfect host for this dynamic forum, and we are excited to welcome him to the Fox Soccer Channel family.”
