Max Hoberman: All-American!

Max Hoberman is an All-American — again.

The Staples Class of 2012 soccer player — now a senior business major at Emory University — finished 8th in the triple jump at the indoor track and field national championships last weekend. The event was held at Grinnell College.

Hoberman’s 14.39-meter leap placed him one spot higher than last year.

Hoberman previously earned All-UAA honors in the long jump, and as a member of the 400m and 1600m relay teams. A versatile athlete, he also competed for the Eagles in the 60, 200 and 400-meter dashes.

At Staples — in addition to soccer — Hoberman was a 4-year member of the indoor track and field team, and a 2-year member of the outdoor squad. He was track captain as a senior, when he earned All-America honors on the sprint medley relay team, and All-State in the triple jump, and 4x100m and 4x400m relays. His team won the 4x400m relay at the New England Championships.

Congratulations, Max!
