Meet Henry Blaikie: Staples Soccer’s New Live Tweeter
Last fall, Ben Cion earned praise and renown as Staples soccer’s 1st-ever live Tweeter.
This fall, the Wreckers welcome Henry Blaikie to the very important social media post.
The senior will continue the role Ben pioneered: providing real-time match information, entertaining Staples soccer’s many fans with interesting, fun and quirky insights into the squad, and spreading the Wreckers’ brand.
Like Ben, Henry — an avid Staples soccer fan — is interested in a career in sports management. He took a sports management course this summer at Syracuse University — where Ben will be a freshman this fall — as well as a NOLS leadership program in Wyoming.
However, head coach Dan Woog says, “I told Henry he shouldn’t try to be Ben.
“He’ll be Henry, and that will be great. I think everyone who follows @Staplessoccer1 will love Henry’s tweets. And I know he can’t wait to get started.
