Wreckers Help Wesleyan Celebrate Centennial
Staples’ boys soccer program is 67 years old.
That makes it a baby, compared to Wesleyan University
They’ve had a soccer team for a century.
But for nearly its entire existence, the Staples program has sent Wreckers an hour up I-91, to Middletown.
The other day, the Cardinals celebrated their 100 years of men’s soccer.
Four former Staples and Wes players were there: Steve Levin ’71, Andy Simon ’76, Seth Sholes ’78 and John Nathan ’80.
Others preceded them; many more followed.
Let’s hope the connection continues for another 100 years.
