Turkey Bowl Set For Thanksgiving Morning On Wakeman Turf
The Turkey Bowl — a decades-old tradition for all Staples alumni and current varsity players — will once again be played Thanksgiving morning, at 10 a.m. The site is the Wakeman B turf field (located at the new Bedford Middle School, just north of Staples — the old Nike site. Entrances are on North Avenue and Cross Highway.)
All alumni and varsity players are invited to play, and work up a holiday appetite.
Spectators are warmly encouraged too!
NOTE: This year we invite Turkey Bowl players to give a donation to the Loeffler Scholarship Fund. Every year, this provides a $3,000 or more grant to a graduating senior soccer player. We need your help to keep this going. If you can’t be there, please consider sending a check to Dave Wilson, 28 Craw Road, Rowayton, CT 06853.
