Register Now For Preston Hirten 7-v-7 Tournament
The 8th annual Preston Hirten Memorial Tournament is set for July 4th weekend. This one promises to be the biggest — and best — yet.
The centerpiece of the event — honoring the Staples Class of 2007 All-State player who died in 2009, during pre-season training at the University of Mary Washington — is a 7-v-7 (+ goalkeeper) tournament at the Wakeman Fields. The date is Saturday, July 1. Preston’s teammates from Staples, UMD and Beachside will be there. Current Staples players are also invited to form teams. It’s a fun, inspiring and important event, for players of all ages (and both genders).
There will also be a barbecue at Compo Beach, following the tourney. All are welcome.
